Ganderbal, June 21: International Yoga Day 2021 was celebrated at the Government College of Physical Education Gadoora Ganderbal, where teaching / non-teaching staff and students of BP Ed Semester-I and BP Ed Semester-III also practiced yoga.
In a statement, the college said that DrMushtaq Ahmad and DrNazir Ahmad Waza, Senior Assistant Professors, highlighted the benefits of yoga and endowed the practice of yoga on a regular basis and stabilize mental hygiene as well as physical well-being. . Dr Hartej Singh, Principal GCOPE shed light on the importance of yoga in our everyday life and motivated all participants on the importance of yoga during the covid pandemic. He also explained that yoga offers many mental and physical benefits, such as “helps develop better body image, helps an individual become a conscious eater, physical fitness, and cardiovascular benefits.”
In addition, IrfanHussain Malik, yoga instructor, shed light on the pros and cons of yoga in daily life and demonstrated and performed various yoga asanas with explanations to the participants.
