Wyoming Department of Education Seeks Public Opinion on Health and Physical Education Standards

CHEYENNE, Wyoming (Wyoming News Now) – The Wyoming Department of Education is asking the public for their opinion on public school health and physical education.

They are collecting information for their standards review from the public and educators until the end of July.

The survey is part of an informal process conducted as part of a 9-year review cycle to provide information on potential revisions to teaching procedures and methods.

Health and Physical Education are two of ten sets of content standards assessments conducted for public education.

The other facets are ELA, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Vocational and Vocational Education, Computer Science, Foreign Languages, and Fine and Performing Arts.

The State Board of Education will review this data and make any changes necessary to adopt standards.

Public virtual events will take place July 16-19, and online surveys will be open to the public until July 28.

“The main objective of this is to have this opportunity for everyone to give their opinion before the adoption. So that there is a full opportunity for contributions to be actionable before they progress. ”
