National Anthem… but for which planet?

National Anthem de Radiohead est un de mes morceaux préférés du groupe. En cherchant une version live de bonne qualité sur Youtube, je suis tombé sur cette merveille.

Voici également quelques commentaires qui m’ont plu sur la page Youtube.

1. Thom Yorke described this as a pop song that destroys it self.

   Has a simple bass, nice effects and catchy lyrics. Then the horns come in and tear it all apart. Brilliant.

2. The structure of most Radiohead songs are layered and complex. Most other bands pale in comparison. Their songs are true compositions. Great band.

3. 00:57-1:04 reminded me of a young Ian Curtis….

   2:28 - end. Name me one band that can get this ill with trombones and horn section. Simply superb in layering a cacophony of music which can almost overwhelm the 5 senses if you let it……

   This is what a true wall of sound was for Phil Spector.
